Professional Background
Randy joined Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark Knight Frank’s Palo Alto office in 1986 after graduating from the University of Southern California. He is a Partner of Cornish and Carey Commercial Newmark Knight Frank and Managing Director of the Palo Alto office.

In 2008, Randy had the honor of being inducted into The Association of Silicon Valley Brokers’ (ASVB) Hall of Fame, and followed it with being named Office Broker of the Year by the ASVB in 2009. Randy was also named the 2010 Commercial Broker of the Year by The San Jose Business Journal and was a finalist for the 2011 Office Broker of the Year by the ASVB.

Randy has specialized in Landlord and Tenant representation along the Mid-Peninsula. He has leased or sold over 1,000 transactions in excess of 11.5 Million square feet, totaling more than $2.5 Billion dollars in consideration. Randy has been involved with some of the largest sale and lease transactions along the Peninsula, including the sale of Menlo Oaks Corporate Center (374,000 square feet) and Mission Towers I & II (566,000 square feet), and the Corporate Headquarter buildings for Rambus Inc., PMC Sierra, The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and The David and Lucile Packard Foundation.

Being based in the Palo Alto office, Randy has a commanding knowledge of the Peninsula commercial real estate market. Randy currently represents major Landlords such as Equity Office Properties, Shorenstein Properties, Legacy Partners, Kilroy Realty, KBS, Tishman Speyer, Menlo Equities, DivcoWest, Boston Properties, Walton Street Capital, Arden/GE and Stanford University.

Randy represents UBS Financial, Rambus Inc., PMC-Sierra, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, The Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation, US Venture Partners, The Andy & Eva Grove Foundation, Summit Partners and Tallwood Ventures.
